Research on the world’s missionaries and mission organisations

Missio Nexus, an association that serves the USA and Canadian mission movements, is currently working on the 22nd edition of the North American Mission Handbook. It is a directory of mission organisations who send from North America, with information on the number of missionaries sent, where they serve, what they do, etc. It is a key resource for mission mobilisation, networking, intercession, and understanding.

Michael Jaffarian, Associate Editor of the North American Mission Handbook and a Mission Commission Associate, is exploring the idea of encouraging and expanding national and regional mission research toward the goal of a coordinated, global series of Mission Handbooks that would together allow us to understand the status of, and trends in, the global mission movement. The idea is to gather information that would enable an African Mission Handbook, an Asian Mission Handbook, a European Mission Handbook, etc
